Mr. and Mrs. Roland Wood.

So as I mentioned in my last post, my sister got MARRIED! Which is super cool. The newest edition to our family is Roland Wood. They met at BYU, I met him for the first time on Easter this year, and on July 23rd they were sealed together for time and all eternity :)

Their colors were mint and light pink, the bridesmaids had white shirts and shoes and matching pink skirts, the groomsmen had a pink or mint tie and gray slacks, Roland was in a gray suit, and Jenessa was in a GORGEOUS off-white, perfectly beaded, classy and modest gentle A-line dress. (so pretty ! )

They were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple and the reception was in Provo at the "Legacy Home." His family owns the Legacy Home and it is a gorgeous property, so it worked out perfectly!

It was a bit stressful trying to get everything in order before people started showing up at the reception, but it all came together and I think it was marvelous :) The decorations were simple, but enough to catch the eye and not be too much. The pictures displayed all around were breathtaking, all my family was there (even the cardboard cutout of my missionary brother! haha), and my friends came to see me. They were honestly some of the happiest hours of my summer (by far!).

So yeah, Jenessa and Roland are beginning their happily ever after and it is so fun to see. They are so happy and I love both of them very much. Hopefully Roland's med school doesn't take them too far from home, because I would miss them terribly. They are awesome and I'm excited to see where life takes them :)

Aaaannnndd now there's only the E's left in the family. Emily and Eric, the single kids. haha I can't wait for Eric to get home in 6 weeks (EXACTLY) because then I won't be such an awkward loner in my immediate family! haha! Well, that's one of the reasons at least!

Conclusion? My sister is a HUGE example to me and I can't wait to be married in the temple to the love of my life someday, but I'm not in any rush either, if you know what I mean.

Come what may, and love it!

Let's Update This Ish

Well folks, my life has done a u-turn, some swerving, passed over a bridge, turned right, parallel parked, backed up into another car in the process, got going again, and is now on the winding road off to college (even though it's 5 mintues away). All this since I last posted.

My last post was about 6 months ago and I couldn't stop raving about how awesome and crazy life was. Well, it's changed a lot if you couldn't tell from my dumb car analogy. haha Quin and I dated till May23rd, when I broke it off. I haven't seen him since, which stinks, but is probably a good thing cause I've needed the time to get my head on straight. So he's long gone and in October will be going to the Dominican Republic on his mission, which will be so good for him!

So then I graduated from Timpview High School on May 29, 2013. It was awesome and I'm SO happy to be done with high school. The morning after graduation (after the all-night party), I went to FLORIDA! It was only for five days, but it was super fun! I went parasailing and chilled on the beach and we explored the everglades and saw alligators and had loads of fun. I wish it could've lasted longer! It was definitely the highlight of my summer. and it was the first week. haha just goes to show how this summer has been..

Anyway! This summer has been mostly me working. I worked at Zupas all summer and then beginning of July I got another job at BYU. It's in asset management and has it's pros and cons. haha pros? It pays really well, has great and flexible hours, I've been able to get to know campus a lot better than I ever would've without it, and I get to see some cool stuff every once in a while. Cons? it has some extremely boring days and I feel like my head is going to explode when I walk around in the sun too much. But hey, I really have nothing to complain about! At least I'm not washing dishes or something!
Last Saturday was my last day at Zupas, which was way sad. Just as I was getting to be best buds with my coworkers, I had to leave. Technically I could've stayed a week or two longer, but working 2 jobs for over a month just about killed me and I couldn't do it any longer. Plus I had to have some resemblance of time to pack and all that nonsense for school. But ya, it was SO SAD. Now I'll never get to see if the guy I was flirting with who worked with me actually liked me ;) hahaha jk. I'll just miss everyone and miss having a job that had a lot of variety and fun times involved. plus the 50% off food was fantastic as well! But oh well, it had to go unfortunately :/

This summer/year has been/is CRAZY for my family. All four kids have/are going through major things and changes and such. No I'm not talking puberty or anything, I'm talking about how Jenessa got married to Roland Wood July 23rd, I'm moving out and starting college in the next couple of weeks, Eric is coming home September 26th from his mission in St. Louis, Missouri, and Jarom and Aleena have a baby boy on the way that is due October 7th!! :) So many awesome things going on it's hard to keep track of it all.

I move out in less than two weeks and have barely done anything to prepare.. haha. I'm excited and nervous to move out, meet my roommates, and get on with my life. I am not excited at all for school to start though. I'm terrified of the huge work load and studying requirements and junk. Everyone tells me that if I work hard, I'll do great. They seem completely confident that I'll succeed and all that. I'm not quite as positive, but I'm going to do my best.

Live long and prosper. Don't die young and suffer.
